International Day of Persons with Disabilities

The Webinar will include presentations from guest speakers who are working across the county to insure inclusion and the rights of people with disabilities are upheld.

The theme for this year’s International Day of People with Disabilities is “Fighting for rights in the post-COVID era”. This year, we are celebrating the challenges, barriers and opportunities for people who live with disabilities, in the context of a global pandemic.

We are also encouraging everyone to wear purple on the day and upload your pictures and videos to social media using the hashtags – #IDPWD #PurpleLights #GalwayCountyDisabilityForum
