MAKE WAY DAY 2020

Make way on our streets for people with disabilities

On Friday 25th, September @10am you are invited to attend a virtual event to highlight the importance of accessibility.

On the same day activists across the country will be meeting to discuss and raise awareness of the equal right of everyone to enjoy access to public spaces.

We will be drawing attention to the challenges presented by things left on the footpath such as badly parked cars, bikes or bins.

The aim is to turn thoughtlessness into thoughtfulness.

During the event we will hear from:

Lisa Fenwick (Disability Federation of Ireland)

Minister Anne Rabbitte, TD (Minister of State Department of Children, Disability, Equality and Integration)

Extremea and Una ni Threasaigh (Galway Centre for Independent Living)

Mairead Folan  (No Ropes Theatre Company)

Ailish Irvine (CUBBIE Sensory Hub)

This will be followed by an open floor session so please send in any questions/feedback you may have to Charlotte: [email protected]
