North East Galway Fit Up Theatre Festival

NORTH EAST GALWAY FIT UP THEATRE FESTIVAL 2022

The core essence of the Fit Up Theatre Festival nods to the tradition of Fit Up theatre of the 1950’s, when professional companies travelled the length & breadth of Ireland, reaching a wide variety of towns & villages bringing the community together through theatre.

Established in 2009 in West Cork by Geoff Gould, the Fit Up Theatre Festivals provide rural communities, where there is a lack of accessibility to professional theatre, an opportunity to sample some of the wealth & talent professional theatre has to offer.

The Three Rings started the North East Galway Fit Up in 2021 with the support of Galway County Arts Office & the Arts Council and are proud to have the opportunity to bring rural audiences in County Galway the very best of professional Irish theatre for 3 weeks in Skehana, Dunmore, Fohenagh, Kilcoona, Tuam & Ballyglunin!

This years festival presents:

The Handyman by Seamus O’Rourke 27th Sept – 2nd Oct;

The Humours of Bandon by Margaret McAuliffe 4th -9th Oct;

and Silent by Pat Kinevane 11th – 16th Oct.
