About this Event

Join us for this exciting opportunity to learn more about developing our regenerative and edible home gardens and city landscapes; learning how to work with, rather than against nature, bringing us back in harmony, and towards a transformative regenerative redesign of our society.

TSG members have invited a wonderful line up of both local and international guest lectures from permaculture projects around the world, exploring how to restore our human relationships with the land, waters, and other humans, learning to live a more regenerative way of life at home, in our cities and local communities. Come join us to share knowledge and inspiration with a group of like-minded planet healers and earth guardians from around the world.

This year’s GRETB funded training programme will include both an introduction to permaculture principles and ethics, while exploring with different teachers and practitioners how permaculture and regenerative agri and cultural practices are applied in different contexts at home and around the world. A Regenerative Culture is one that serves humanity and is a steward of Earth’s ecosystems. The transition to a Regenerative Culture is about seeing the world in a different way — a shift to an ecological world view in which NATURE is the model.

Permaculture is a design approach based on understandings of how nature works. At its heart permaculture has three ethics:

Earth Care

People Care

Fair Shares

This makes permaculture a unique toolkit that is used to design regenerative systems at all scales – from personal home and garden to community, farms, cities, towns and bioregions.

During the course you will find out more about the permaculture ethics of People Care, Planet Care & Fair Share, the design principles and the 7 concepts of holistic living behind Holmgren’s Permaculture Flower and how they can be applied in nature, in a garden, in our communities and cities, including practical examples of regenerative agri and cultural practices, forest gardening and edible landscapes, sharing and exploring transformative and regenerative practices and examples of their practical application from different projects around the world.

This introduction is not a full design certificate course but gives the basic grounding in what Permaculture and Regenerative practices are and how they can be applied in addressing the climate, cultural and ecological crisis, facing us today: from how we grow our food, act as guardian to our land, redesign our city landscapes, live cooperatively in harmony with nature, community and everyday life.
