Community Support Fund under the Community Enhancement Programme for 2022-2023:

Galway County Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) has been allocated an amount of €316,244

under the Community Support Fund and Galway County Council, on behalf of the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), invites applications for funding from community groups and community facilities within the Galway County administrative area.   This funding is about giving a helping hand to smaller groups and facilities at a grassroots level by supporting them to continue their important work on the ground – for example, Parish Halls, Community Centres, Social Clubs, ICA Groups, Senior Citizen Groups, Youth Clubs, Men’s Sheds, Women’s Sheds and more (there is €3,162 ring-fenced for operating costs of Women’s Shed).

The Fund will support these smaller groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas:

1. With their Energy Costs or other Non-Pay Operating/Running Costs

and/or

1. Grants towards projects or equipment enhancing facilities

Tá suim €316,244 leithroinnte ar Choiste Forbartha Pobail Áitiúil Chontae na Gaillimhe (LCDC) faoin gclár agus fáiltíonn Comhairle Chontae na Gaillimhe, ar son An gCoiste Forbartha Pobail Áitiúil (LCDC), roimh iarratais ar mhaoiniú ó ghrúpaí pobail agus saoráidí pobail laistigh de cheantar riaracháin Chontae na Gaillimhe.   Is é bun agus barr an mhaoinithe seo ná lámh chúnta a thabhairt do ghrúpaí agus saoráidí i measc an ghnáthphobail trí thacú leo leanúint dá n-obair luachmhar ar an talamh – mar shampla, Hallaí Paróiste, Ionaid Pobail, Clúbanna Sóisialta, Grúpaí ICA, Grúpaí Sinsearacha Saoránach, Clubanna Óige, Bothán na bhFear, Botháin na mBan, agus tuilleadh (tá deontas caiteachas do €3,162 ar fáil do Bhotháin na mBan).

Tacóidh an Ciste Tacaíochta Pobail leis na grúpaí seo atá níos lú, go mór mór in áiteanna atá faoi mhíbhuntáiste:

1. Deontas i leith tionscadail nó saoráidí chun trealamh a fheabhsú
