The EirGrid North Connacht Community Benefit Fund Phase 1

EirGrid is now inviting applications to the first phase of The EirGrid North Connacht Community Benefit Fund. This is Phase 1.
The fund will provide grants to local community groups, not-for-profit organisations and social enterprises that operate or service communities near this new cable line, and who can deliver projects that will create positive social and environmental impacts. The overall aim is to increase public and environmental well being in the community and to leave a positive legacy.
Please ensure you have read the fund guidelines for applicants in full before beginning your application (available to download from here) and a map of the area of benefit can be viewed here. 
Phase 1 of the fund will close at Friday 13th March 2026 at 5pm.
The guidelines provide all the information required to complete and submit your application.

One-to-One Clinics, 20-minute time slots to speak to a SECAD team member about your project and application, are available to book on the following dates, times and locations:
Swinford: February 24th 2026, 06:30pm – 0830pm
Ballina: February 25th 2026, 10:30am – 12:30pm
Ballaghadereen: February 25th, 02:300pm – 04:300pm
