The role of PPN Resource Officer includes supporting the Secretariat to develop the PPN in Galway County and collaborating with Galway County Council and other statutory bodies to develop the PPN as the reference point for the environmental, community & voluntary and social inclusion sectors in the county. Niamh Seóighe was appointed as PPN Resource Officer for Galway County PPN in September 2019.
Niamh has worked for Galway County Council for over 17 years and during that time, she worked for 5 years in the Community, Enterprise & Economic Unit. She has also worked in the Arts Office, the Planning Department and the Environment Department. Niamh’s primary degree is a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Heritage Studies and she also has a Master’s Degree in Public Management from the Institute of Public Administration. One of the key responsibilities of the PPN Resource Officer is to work with the Secretariat to promote citizen engagement and to strengthen linkages between communities and their Council.
