The purpose of the evening is to allow you and your community group to meet with other like minded groups and to network with each other. The plenary facilitates you to meet with some of the community representatives from the PPN that sit on decision making structures on your behalf. However, one of the big benefits of the night is the presence of over 20 information stands manned by various service providers and organisations that support and facilitate community groups and community participation in the County.
There will be various information stands present on the night with staff available from a range of organisations to talk about their services and supports that they offer to Community and Voluntary Groups. Such services include Funding and Training organisations, Community, Social Inclusion & Environmental organisations, Community Insurance companies, County Council services, Rural Networks to name but a few.
There will be a small formal element to the event, with short presentations by a few guestspeakers.
Minister Sean Canney T.D, Minister of State at the Department of Rural and Community Development ( which oversees the PPNs) will be saying a few words on the night as well as the CEO of Irish Rural Link , Seamus Boland.
