Local Enhancement Programme 2024

The Closing Date for receipt of completed applications is Tuesday 27^th February 2024.

Galway County Council, on behalf of the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC), invites applications for funding from non-profit community & voluntary groups within the Galway County administrative area under the Local Enhancement Programme 2024.   The Local Enhancement Programme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and administered by the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) in each local authority area.     Galway County Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) will administer the following capital funding under the Programme:

• Local Enhancement Programme General Fund – €145,220: the General Fund will support groups, particularly in disadvantaged areas, to carry out necessary repairs and small capital works/improvements to their facilities, and/or to purchase equipment for community use.
• Local Enhancement Programme Women’s Fund – €30,896.17: this ringfenced funding is to support the growing number of Women’s Clubs and Groups, e.g., Women’s Sheds, Women’s Sporting Groups, and other social networks such as ICA groups, Irish Girl Guides, etc.   It is intended to allocate the available funding in a relatively equal manner across all eligible groups, however, it should be noted that Women’s Groups are also entitled to apply to the General Fund.

Applicants must submit a completed Application Form and supporting documentation on or before the closing date by (a) e-mailing a signed scanned version to [email protected] OR (b) posting it to Community Grants, Economic, Rural and Community Development Department, Galway County Council, Áras an Chontae, Prospect Hill, Galway.

The Local Enhancement Programme 2024 is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development.

Is é an dáta deiridh chun glacadh le foirmeacha iarratais comhlánaithe ná Dé Máirt an 27ú Feabhra 2024. 

Fáiltíonn Comhairle Chontae na Gaillimhe, ar son An gCoiste Forbartha Pobail Áitiúil (LCDC), roimh iarratais ar mhaoiniú ó ghrúpaí pobail agus deonacha neamhbhrabúis laistigh de cheantar riaracháin Chontae na Gaillimhe faoin gClár Feabhsúcháin Áitiúil 2024.   Tá an Clár Feabhsúcháin Áitiúil maoinithe ag an Roinn Forbartha Tuaithe agus Pobail agus á riar ag na Coistí Forbartha Pobail Áitiúil (LCDC) i ngach ceantar Údaráis Áitiúil.    Riarfaidh Coiste Forbartha Pobail Áitiúil Chontae na Gaillimhe an maoiniú caipitiúl seo a leanas faoin gClár:

• Ciste Ginearálta an Chláir Feabhsaithe Áitiúil – €145,220: tacóidh an Ciste Ginearálta le grúpaí, go háirithe i gceantair faoi mhíbhuntáiste, chun deisiúcháin agus feabhsúcháin riachtanacha a dhéanamh ar a n-áiseanna, agus/nó chun trealamh a cheannach le haghaidh úsáid an phobail.
• Ciste na mBan faoin Chlár Feabhsúcháin Aitiúil – €30,896.17: tá an maoiniú imfhálaithe seo chun tacú le líon méadaitheach na gClubanna agus na nGrúpaí Ban, e.g., Seideanna na mBan, Grúpaí Spóirt na mBan, agus líonraí sóisialta eile ar nós grúpaí ICA, Irish Girl Guides, etc.     Tá sé bearthaithe an cistiú atá ar fail a leithdháileadh ar bhealach réasúnta comhionann ar gach grúpa incháilithe, áfach, ba choir a thabhairt faoi deara go bhfuil grupaí ban I dteideal iarratas a dhéanamh ar an gciste ginearálta freisin.

Ní mór d’iarratasóirí Foirm Iarratais chomhlánaithe agus doiciméid tacaíochta a chur isteach ar an dáta deiridh nó roimhe sin trí (a) leagan scanta sínithe a sheoladh ar ríomhphost chuig [email protected] NÓ trí (b) iad a sheoladh ar an bpost chuig Deontais Pobail, An Rannóg Forbartha Eacnamaíochta, Tuaithe agus Pobail, Comhairle Chontae na Gaillimhe, Áras an Chontae, Cnoc na Radharc, Gaillimh.
