LOOKING FOR SUPPORT: NEW FUND TO BE SET UP TO HELP COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY COVID-19
Original source of this press release: The Community Foundation for Ireland.
The Community Foundation for Ireland have established a new fund to help vulnerable communities impacted by COVID-19:
- Please note we are currently not taking requests from nonprofits for this Fund, this is a request for partnership on this fund to enable us to fund more organisations
Due to the rising concern of the impact of Covid-19 particularly on vulnerable groups such as the elderly and those with respiratory issues, we know you may want to support organisations that are dealing with those most critically affected by the virus.
We are starting a fund to support you and others like you who would like to reach out to those organisations.
The Community Foundation for Ireland will commence the fund with some of our own grant monies.
Would you help us with this?
We are starting an immediate response fund and reaching out to donorsĀ and other supporters to ask you to join with us to help these groups and help protect the most vulnerable in our society.
Over the next few days we will be contacting the main umbrella bodies for charitable organisations who deal with vulnerable people to see what they need now and how philanthropic funds could be best spent. We have relationships with a lot of these organisations and so will be quickly able to assess how to assist them.
We understand you have your own passions and causes that you support however it is at times like this where all sectors of society must come together to support those who are most at risk. We hope you will consider donating to this fund so we can expand its reach and impact to help as many people in Ireland as possible.
