Positive Ageing Week 2021 will be held from 27^th September to 1^st October inclusive, and is an opportunity to shine a light on all the positive contributions of older people in our communities, and highlight positivity of older age.

We invite you to join with us in celebrating the older people who make a difference in our neighbourhoods and communities in 2 ways:

1. Small Grants Scheme for Positive Ageing Week:

We are running a small grants scheme to enable local activities and events to take place to celebrate and showcase positive ageing and invite you to apply by completing and returning the attached Application Form to us before end of Wednesday 15^th September 2021

2. Countywide project to exhibit and showcase biographies of selected older people

We are running a countywide project to exhibit bio’s of up to 20 older people from the City and County and invite you to nominate someone from your Community and return to Jacquie Lynskey, COPE Galway, our partner agency on the Age Friendly Alliance, before 5pm on Tuesday 7^th September 2021.
