Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021

Galway County Council through the Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) invites applications for funding from Social Enterprises within the Galway County administrative area, for the Social Enterprise Capital Grants Scheme 2021.

·       Only Social Enterprises, as defined in the National Social Enterprise Policy (see Guidelines), may apply under this Scheme and all applicants will be checked and verified to ensure they meet the definition.

·       Under this Scheme, grants will be provided to Social Enterprises towards small-scale capital costs, e.g., purchase of equipment, repairs and refurbishment of facilities, etc.

Amounts approved to Social Enterprises will be subject to the total number of applications approved and the overall budget available (€30,533.17) – it is envisaged that any individual grant awarded will not exceed €5,000.

The Scheme is funded by the Dormant Accounts Fund and is being administered on behalf of the Department of Rural and Community Development by the network of Local Community Development Committees (LCDC’s) across the country.
